Brief Posting Description

Supervise Gas Measurement and SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) operations associated with the Field Production team to ensure: A, Integrity and accuracy of measurement of oil and gas. B, Real time data is readily available for day to day business use.

Detailed Description

  • Responsible for day to day operation of the SCADA and gas measurement system, including maintenance and construction functions. 
  • Monitor communication networks to ensure wellhead to company database for information transfer 

  • Coordinator of outside contractors and vendors on construction and maintenance of existing or new SCADA and Gas Measurement facilities. 

  • Supervise Gas Measurement Technicians to ensure gas measurement meters are calibrated and the gas analysis is obtained in accordance to State, Federal, and Contractual guidelines. 

  • Supervise SCADA and Instrument Technicians to ensure real time data is obtained from each well sight and facility. 

  • Approve invoices and generate material transfers associated with daily Gas Measurement and SCADA operations and construction projects. 

  • Responsible for the timely submittal of Measurement and SCADA reports.

  • Ensure all Company employees and contractors adhere to Newfield’s safety policies and procedures
  • Minimize monthly LOE's and generate ideas to reduce operating costs
  • Assist in emergencies to protect life and property, advising management of course of action taken and recommending solutions or additional asssistance as needed 
  • Work closely with Tulsa office to coordinate bids with vendors and contractors.
  • Supervise Gas Measurement Technician, Gas Services Technicians.

  • Responsible for people development and maintenance of a team environment focused on learning and continous improvement 

  • Will report to District Superintendent.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to foster collaborative working relationships.

  • Ability to plan and prioritize.

  • Must be able to multi-task.

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years industry experience in gas measurement and/or SCADA.
  • Will be required to work outside year round in all weather conditions.
