Brief Posting Description

The operation and maintenance of Newfield workover rig, including well completion and maintenance, rig mobilization and demobilization, repairs and maintenance of all workover rig equipment.

Detailed Description

  • Work floors during tripping operations and running of tubing and rods

  • Maintain and repair of tongs and slips

  • Relief for derrick as needed

  • Other duties assigned by driller

Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of natural gas/diesel engines, tubing/rod tongs and all other workover rig related equipment

  • Proven record of working independently, under little direct supervision

  • Must have good communication skills

  • Demonstrate a strong desire to apply innovative ideas in the field

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record is required.

Additional Details

  • High school degree or GED equivalent

  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull between 25-100 pounds on a frequent daily basis throughout a 12 hour day

  • Must be willing to work toward CDL

  • Must be able to traverse uneven terrain on a daily basis throughout a 12 hour day

  • Must be able to climb to a height of 100 feet continually throughout a 12 hour day

  • Interactions with Driller, Wellsite Supervisor

  • Reports to Driller

  • 5 on and 2 off, some weekends required

  • Required to work in all weather conditions year round

  • Starting wage: $21.75 per hour
