Brief Posting Description

Supervise daily maintenance and construction operations associated with Newfield’s waterflood operation.

Detailed Description


  • Responsible for day to day water injection operations to include:

o    Injection plants

o    Injection lines

o    Gathering of pressure and rates of injection wells

  • Installation of well head equipment on newly converted wells

  • Conducting step rate tests (SRT) and mechanical integrity tests (MIT) on injection wells to comply with EPA and State regulations

  • Responsibilities also include coordination with Company employees or outside contractors on construction and maintenance of existing and new facilities

  • Coordinate with the Denver office on issues associated with installation of new facilities

  • Manage the daily operations including scheduling, hiring, dispatching and coordination of NDSI’s water trucking and hot oiling services

Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED equivalent.  Working knowledge of single and multi-cylinder engines, triplex pumps, water filtration and other basic equipment, associated oilfield production operations and water injection facilities

  • Ability to work with company personnel and outside vendors and contractors

  • Responsible for approving invoices and generating material transfers associated with daily operations and construction projects

Additional Details

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must be able to lift between 50-100 pounds on occasion, 25 pounds on a daily basis

  • Will be accountable for the condition and care of assigned company property

  • Interactions with Water Services Superintendent, Water Services Foreman, Facilities Engineer, Completion Foreman, Production Foreman, and Water Service Operators.

  • Supervises contractors, Water Services Technicians, Water Truck Drivers, and Hot Oil Driver

  • Reports to Water Services Superintendent

  • Will be required to work outside year round in all weather conditions

  • 5 on and 2 off, rotational weekends

  • Occasional rotational night shift to include facilities maintenance and all callouts/text response throughout the night

  • Salary negotiable, depending on experience
