Brief Posting Description

The Corporate Completions Manager will provide corporate oversight to completions operations within multiple oil and gas producing fields throughout the Gulf Coast, Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountain regions.  Will work as part of a multi-discipline team with land, engineering and geological staff.  Will report directly to the Vice President of Production.

Detailed Description

  • Develop and implement production optimization strategies and oversee well completion, workover and recompletion plans. 

  • Provide completions engineering support for prospective property acquisitions and on joint venture properties.

  • Ensure adequate supervision is available and being utilized for completion and stimulation operations.

  • Work with other members of the technical team to plan and execute cost effective completion programs that add significant value to the company

  • Review operating cost data to identify areas to increase operating efficiencies

  • Monitor production data to identify areas for remedial stimulation, recompletions and other profit enhancement work
  • Stay current on new completion technologies and recommend for potential implementation into company projects

Job Requirements

  • Minimum (15) years in completion engineering with extensive unconventional resource play experience in the last (5) years.

  • BS or MS Degree in Petroleum Engineering or other Engineering discipline with applicable petroleum industry related work experience.

  • Extensive high pressure fracture design and implementation experience.

  • Self starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide sound engineering expertise and operations support for completion activities.
  • Demonstrates strong commitment to safety.
  • Experience designing a completion utilizing fracture stimulation and/or gravel pack technology.

  • Experience in production optimization related to gas lift completions

  • Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to field locations as needed

  • Recognized as an industry expert

  • Prior experience working for an E&P company is required
  • Strong working knowledge of rock and rock mechanics
